Billy Sheehan is a true legend among bass players, forever changing how rock bass guitar is played. Voted Best Rock Bass Player in Guitar Player Magazine's Readers Poll 5 times, he became ineligible to win again and entered the "Gallery of Greats" alongside Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, Geddy Lee and Edward Van Halen. He's won too many awards to count, all around the world in countries like Japan, Germany, Korea, Italy and many other countries (in Japan he's won Best Bass Player in Japan's #1 music magazine an unprecented 14 times in a row!), and in 1999, Billy's handprints and signature were preserved in cement on the world famous RockWalk on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, California.

Rising to cult hero status in the 80's with his band Talas, Billy was recruited by David Lee Roth when the former Van Halen frontman went solo in '85, recording two multi-platinum records. Forming the band Mr. Big in 1989 with guitarist Paul Gilbert, Billy had his first Billboard #1 single in the USA and 14 other countries with "To Be With You". Billy formed the band Niacin with drummer Dennis Chambers (Funkadelic, Steely Dan, Mahavishnu Orchestra) and John Novello (Chick Corea, Andy Summers), and their latest CD is "Time Crunch". Billy Sheehan's first solo CD "Compression" was released in 2001, and he's working on a new one now. He's also working on Steve Vai's new record, with a world tour to follow, and he's featured on Vai's new live concert DVD Live At The Astoria, London.
